SCI
Rehab Services Incorporated Society was founded on the 24th day of
November 2004 to assist spinal cord injured people gain maximum mobility
and quality of life through rehabilitation.
SCI Rehab Services Incorporated Society is a non profit organization.
The society’s objectives are:
1. To promote exercise therapy for Spinal Cord Injured
persons.
2. To implement programmes to enhance wellness and mobility for
physically disabled persons.
3. To raise funds to assist the work of the society.
4. To re-activate the Central nervous system of people with Spinal
Cord Injuries and work towards full recovery for them.
5. To employ researchers and/or exercise specialists to assist in
recovery programmes.
6. To fund research relevant to these objects being carried out
whether in New Zealand or elsewhere.
7. To subscribe to, become a member of, affiliate with and/or cooperate
with any society or
organisation having amongst its objects similar objects to those
of the society, and/or assist in the foundation and incorporation
of any society or organisation, whether as an independent society,
or whether formed to federate with other societies including this
society, or otherwise whether in New Zealand or overseas.
8. To adopt any such other objects as may be necessary for the Society
to carry out its main aim.
The society actively seeks funding from various trusts to allow
the work of the society as mentioned above and to support individuals
with SCI reach their full potential in terms of rehabilitation.
